Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking to hire the following professional for our Middle East & Africa Region.

Fundamental Requirements include but are not limited to:
Works independently to:
• Conduct training and / or provide guidance to less experienced staff. Supervise and develop staff responsible for the preparation of financial information.
• Review data for analysis
• Analyzes transactions and validates source data to ensure accuracy, accountability and financial data integrity
• Balances and reconciles financial information
• Responsible for the preparation, reconciliation and maintenance of schedules and analyses supporting internal management financial information and disclosures.
• Participates in and influence the design, operation, enhancement and monitoring of the Company’s internal control structure including reconciliation controls on bank accounts, g/l accounts, subsidiary systems and financial reporting system.
• Prepares financial reports and assist in the budgeting / forecasting process.
• Provides information and assistance to facilitate the completion of monthly management results.
• Provides accurate, timely and insightful analysis in response to ad hoc management requests or issues
• Participates in the design, operation, enhancement and monitoring of the Company’s internal control structure including reconciliation controls
• Prepare account analyses and roll-forwards to help identify unusual trends, and accounting and internal control issues. Work with appropriate responsible parties to communicate issues and resolution plans.
• Assist in the implementation of company initiatives including: improved management information requirement, financial planning and analysis tools, and new products and services.
• Administer business procedures ensuring compliance requirements are satisfied.
• Responsible for various elements of the entity’s monthly financial close process including: recording of journal entries, maintenance and reconciliation of financial systems, and accurate communication to management.
• Supports financial information requests from business management
• Performs job functions with minimal supervision
• Prepares cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Aetna and AGB internal control and financial reporting guidance
• Provides professional, prompt, and accurate service to all internal and external customers.
• Adheres to best practices, and strives for continuous improvement.
• Work with the key business operations area to identify operational improvements, and improve the businesses financial results.

Background/Experience Desired:
University degree in the field of finance, economics, or accounting
6-8 years related financial experience including project management and supervisory experience
Excellent organization and communication skills required
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Knowledge of computer systems/software including Oracle, GPS, Microsoft Office suite
